To print your NYSC call up letter for the 2026 mobilization exercise, log in to the official portal (portal.nysc.org.ng), input your registered email address and password, navigate to your dashboard, and click the green "Print Call Up Letter" button. Your document will download as a PDF showing your state of deployment, reporting date, camp address, and call-up number. Make sure to print at least two coloured copies and three black-and-white photocopies before heading to orientation camp.

Difference Between NYSC Green Card and Call-Up Letter

Many prospective corps members confuse the NYSC Green Card with the NYSC Call-Up Letter. Both documents are essential, but they serve distinct purposes during mobilization.

Feature	NYSC Green Card	NYSC Call-Up Letter
What it is	Online Registration Slip	Official Deployment & Posting Letter
When it becomes available	Immediately after completing online registration and thumbprinting	A few days before orientation camp officially opens
Key details shown	Bio-data, passport, kit specifications, state choices selected	Posted state, camp location address, reporting deadline, call-up number
Signing requirement	Must be physically signed and dated by you in ink	Does not require candidate signature
Cost implication	Available if you paid the online processing fee	Available for download if you paid the online processing fee

Both documents must be printed in clear, sharp colour. Orientation camp registration officials will reject smudged or cut-off printouts.

Step-by-Step: How to Print Your Call-Up Letter on the NYSC Portal

Follow these exact steps to access your letter smoothly:

Visit the official portal: Go to portal.nysc.org.ng or the alternative portal links provided on the official NYSC official website.
Click "Login": Look for the active login button on the homepage.
Enter credentials: Supply the exact email address and password you used during initial mobilization registration.
Access your dashboard: Once logged in, scroll down your user profile page.
Locate the printing link: You will see a button labeled "Print Call Up Letter". (If your batch or stream has not been released yet, this button will not appear).
Download and inspect: Click the button to generate your PDF document. Check that your name, passport photo, institutional details (e.g., University of Lagos, Ahmadu Bello University, University of Nigeria Nsukka), and state of deployment are completely legible.
Print multiple copies: Take the PDF to a reliable cybercafé or print directly on a colour laser printer.

Pro Tip: Never print directly from a browser pop-up on a slow mobile connection. Save the PDF file to your Google Drive or USB drive first. Just like tackling exams, careful preparation prevents costly mistakes. If you have younger relatives preparing for POST-UTME or JAMB while you prepare for camp, direct them to take a timed mock CBT on ExamMaster Pro so they build rock-solid accuracy early.

Troubleshooting Common NYSC Portal Errors

During peak printing days, hundreds of thousands of PCMs hit the servers at once, causing errors. Here is how to resolve the most frequent issues:

1. Dashboard is Blank or Call-Up Button Not Showing

If your dashboard loads your bio-data but the "Print Call Up Letter" button is missing:

Batch or Stream Staggering: NYSC frequently splits batches into Stream I and Stream II. If your friends see their letters and you do not, you may be scheduled for Stream II. Confirm batch schedules on the verified NYSC social media channels.
Institutional Senate List Issues: Double-check that your matriculation number and name correctly appear on the NYSC Senate Approved List.

2. "Invalid Email or Password"

Avoid auto-fill errors on mobile browsers. Type out your password manually.
Use the "Forgot Password" link to reset your access via your registered email. Check your spam or promotions folder if the link does not arrive within five minutes.

3. Payment Verification & Remita Glitches

If you paid the registration and delivery fee via Remita but the portal still prompts you to pay before printing:

Return to your dashboard.
Click on "Transaction Status" or "Verify Remita Payment".
Paste your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code to force an instant reconciliation between Remita and the NYSC database.

4. Biometric & Thumbprint Mismatch Flag

If camp clearance notes mention a biometric conflict, do not panic. Visit your institution’s Student Affairs Division or the nearest NYSC State Secretariat ICT desk to request biometric revalidation before the camp registration gate closes.

Much like identifying weak subject areas using past questions with detailed explanations on ExamMaster Pro, solving portal glitches requires diagnosing the root cause methodically rather than refreshing the page in frustration.

Essential Documents to Pack Alongside Your Call-Up Letter

Do not arrive at orientation camp with only your call-up letter. Camp screening officers require a strict dossier of physical documents:

Original Call-Up Letter (plus 3-5 clean photocopies)
Original NYSC Green Card (signed and dated by you)
Statement of Result or Degree Certificate signed by your Registrar
Valid School Identity Card (and a valid national ID like NIN slip or voter's card)
Medical Fitness Certificate from a recognized government or military hospital (indicating blood group, genotype, and fitness status)
Recent passport photographs (at least 20 copies on plain white background)
Special professional licenses (for medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and lab scientists)

Keep these documents inside a water-resistant plastic document folder inside your carry-on luggage—not your heavy box—so they do not get crumpled or damp in transit.
